Thursday, 26 December 2013Hull City 2-3 Manchester United
James Chester turned from hero to villain for Hull City, as Manchester United came from two early goals down to claim a thrilling 3-2 win at the KC Stadium.
The Hull man scored the opener for the Tigers when he poked one home in the fourth minute, before David Meyler added a second with the help of a Jonny Evans deflection in the 13th minute.
Chris Smalling rose highest in the area six minutes later to claw a goal back for Manchester United.
And Wayne Rooney struck an excellent 26th-minute equaliser to claim his 150th Premier League goal for United.
Then in the 66th minute, former United player Chester headed an Ashley Young cross beyond his own goalkeeper, Steve Harper, to give David Moyes' team the advantage.
United held on for the three points, but winger Antonio Valencia was dismissed in the 90th minute for needlessly kicking the ball away and receiving a second yellow card.
