Euro 2016 Qualifying Draw: Live Results, Groups and Reaction
Sunday, 23 February 2014
England have been handed a straight-forward draw for the
Euro 2016 qualification campaign.
Roy Hodgson's team have been placed in Group E alongside
Switzerland, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania and San Marino.
The England head coach will be up against a Swiss country he
took to the World Cup finals in 1994, while the rest of the group look
relatively comfortable for the Three Lions.
Scotland and the Republic of Ireland have been placed in the
same group, which will mean two meetings between former Celtic managers, Gordon
Strachan and Martin O'Neill.
European newcomers Gibraltar are also included in that group
where Germany are the top seeds.
Holders Spain look to have few concerns in a group which has
Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus, Macedonia and Luxembourg in it.
